Another first for the Grants Group – August 2012.

We have started the manufacture of 5m high precast structural precast columns, which are clad in solid Portland Stone. The Portland Stone rings are placed into our specially designed moulds and the structural precast concrete is cast inside. We have separated the stone and concrete so that although the Portland Stone columns look solid the stone is purely aesthetic and the engineered reinforced precast concrete is doing all the work.

Grants Precast have been selected to produce these columns for a prestigious project at De Vere Gardens in Kensington, central London for their attention to detail and masonry skills in precast concrete.

These columns are designed and constructed by Grants and are believed to be the first ever of this type of construction.
